Last night hubs and I decided to go watch fireworks. It was never in our "plans" for the weekend...but figured since we now live close to a "big" production, we should go. We didn't feel like fighting the downtown crowd...so we opted for Crockett Park. We threw some chairs in the back of the truck and drove by the park to feel it out. We didn't want to get stuck in major traffic, so we found a field where about 40 or so other cars had parked and made our way in. We moved to the top of the hill, popped open the chairs in the tailgate, and turned up the jams. Surprisingly, it was a nice night out and we had a great view of the show.
As soon as the finale hit, we were in the car and out of the field. Literally took us 10 seconds to hop out of the back and get our truck moving. We were the 2nd car outta there and had no traffic on the way.
I think we just started a new family tradition!
