Snow Weekend! Volume II

I discovered I had pictures on my other camera after I did my previous post.
Allison & Katie
Aren't we such sweet little Angels?
"snowboarding" on a wakeboard
Sig from "Deadliest Catch"
Can anyone find John Scott?
go get um big banana...er, Tiger!
Sledding with a wakeboard actually works!
tip:remove fins!
had to put it in there...
Snow is a great way to keep your beer cold!
See above and below

Seriously, Anyone know where John Scott went?
Bucket-Tub-thingy sled...not as good
THERE HE IS!

Snow Weekend!

Over the weekend Josh and I managed to get in two great snow days!
Friday, we went to Tom and Katie's house to do some sledding and then stayed for an adult slumber party! It was us, John Scott, Tom & Katie, and the dogs!
Saturday, (with the same crew from Friday) we met up with Aubrie & Brandon, Paige & Joe (in town for thir shower that got cancelled), Whitney & Ryan, and Elizabeth. We all went down to Steeplechase on Saturday for some major sledding.

Below is a video of our weekend!

We got a kick out of Katie's all yellow outfit...channeling Sig from "Deadliest Catch". We thought we would do our own "deadliest adventure" with Katie and the Crew. Unfortunately, we couldn't get "Wanted" by Bon Jovi, so we had to use "Danger Zone".

ENJOY!
video

our sleds consisted of wakeboards w/o fins, a big black tub, cardboard, and two legit sleds.
the wakeboards were the best...soooo slick.
you can see aubrie chasing after one that got away from her. i managed to stop it with my kneecap. fun times.

Happy TAILS To You

This post is about my fur baby and her reunion with her sister, Roxy-actual sisters from the same breeder. For the first year of Roxy's life, she lived in Nashville (with my sister and her husband) and she and Mally eventually became pals. A year and half ago, they moved to LA and the video below is the Nashville reunion a few weeks ago!

It is mainly a bunch of sniffing and tail wagging!
video

They look more alike than ever. Mally is the one with the two brown spots on her side.
We miss you already Roxy!

This is why I love my husband...

...He is NOT afraid to be a dork!
(Mally Happened to Yawn!)
Hope all you Nashvillians (and everyone else expecting snow this weekend) stay nice and warm!

VOTE NOW!

107.5 the River is a my favorite radio station in Nashville. I listen all day at work (how else do I stay up-to-date on my gossip?). Anyway, every year they do a radiothon through the Children's Miracle Network with Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.
Right now, they have a huge contest going on to be the most caring radio station.
The Winner will receive $50,000 for their hospital.
All you have to do is visit www.1075theriver.com or click this link to vote! It will take a few seconds to sign-up, but you get up to 10 votes a day. Right after I voted, 107.5 was in 14th place.

Only In Canada

This is the actual turn-off from Banff, Alberta, Canada to the #1 highway to Calgary .
Originally, there was a natural crossing where they built the interstate/bridge.
They had to build the animals their own crossing (especially the elk) b/c after the bridge was built, there were far too many accidents. It didn't take the animals long to learn that this was their very own bridge!
Thought this was neat and had to share!

Office Protest

Several weeks ago my company had a protest from a union group with VERY MISPLACED ANGER. The group (I am not going name) is angry with builders not requiring their trade partners to join the union. They have lost several members over the last 10 years and are upset.Since we do not require it, they are targeting us.
All that being said, they decided to protest outside our office. We are not on a heavily traveled road--so really, a waste of time if you ask me. We had security and food ordered and just sat back and watched the show! It was kind of entertaining.
The News Arrived
Our Protectors
I got someone to drive me by for good shots.
Michigan is our new Corporate Headquarters
Their blow up pig!
I felt bad for the baby...it was freezing outside!
Poor Kids!

They were chanting about all kinds of crazy stuff.
We were mainly watching through the blinds
video
This video show some of the protest that moved into our parking lot and the best is the guy at the end. He rips off his coat and jumps the bushes! Hilarious!

Then they stormed our parking lot.
They brought out furniture and said some prayers.
This was when the cops said it's time to leave.
They were on private property.
Overall, a very eventful day!
Here is the Cool Springs Article about the whole event.

Mally Has Some Balls...

Not literally, of course. But my dog has guts I have never seen in her before. She can be your typical skiddish-small dog. So her actions have surprised me lately! She has been jumping in our rocking chair which normally scares her, tearing into Christmas Presents, and jumping from the front seat to the backseat in the car (normally in my lap). That was just the beginning
Once the house was decorated for the holidays, I put candy in our "normally filled with pistachios" candy dish.
(here is the Pistachio dish)
We had dark chocolate m&m's in the dish. I figured things would be fine since she loves Pistachios and never got on the table for those. WRONG! Josh and I came home and the dish was empty. Well, we weren't worried b/c this is one of many times our dog has defied the "dogs can't eat chocolate" rule. She has eaten her weight in chocolate and she is just fine--all unintentional of course.
Anyway, so we thought, okay, no more chocolate in the dish. Once we took our decorations down, we filled it back up with Pistachios and this is what Josh and I discovered when we got home the other night. It's a little harder to hide the evidence when you don't eat the shells!
The Evidence

More on the Couch

Look at Mally, acting all innocent.
Yes, my dog has on Pajamas--long story...not trying to be Paris Hilton.
CAUGHT IN THE ACT!
Actually, it was a reenactment for the blog.

Kendall Boggs Fine Art

Kendall Boggs is an incredibly talented artist and the mother of one of my best friends, Jordan. Growing up with Jordan, I saw Kendall make prom dresses, purses, make-up bags, and decorate homes. Her latest adventure in the artistic world is with painting. She is an amazing artist and I am so excited to own my first Kendall Boggs Original!

When I saw Kendall's art on her website and blog I decided I needed to buy one ASAP! I love her 3 Angels paintings and realized that is the one for our house. For us, the three angels represent my grandfather, Josh's grandfather, and Josh's sister. This is the perfect addition to our home!
So excited to open the package!
The beautiful art!
